MDMA

What is MDMA

MDMA, short for 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, is a synthetic psychoactive drug that alters mood and perception. MDMA is commonly known as ecstasy or molly, and it belongs to the class of drugs known as entactogens.

MDMA History & Culture

MDMA was first synthesized in 1912 by the German pharmaceutical company Merck. However, its psychoactive properties were not discovered until the 1970s, when it was used in psychotherapy. MDMA soon became popular as a recreational drug, especially in the club and rave scene of the 1980s and 1990s. Despite little evidence of actual harm its use soon became prohibited worldwide.

MDMA Effects

MDMA produces a euphoric and empathic state, characterized by feelings of emotional warmth, openness, and empathy towards others. Other effects of MDMA include increased sociability, energy, and a sense of inner peace. The positive effects of MDMA are often accompanied by physical sensations, such as a tingling sensation, jaw clenching, and increased heart rate.

Negative effects of MDMA can include anxiety, agitation, and paranoia, as well as physical symptoms such as nausea, dehydration, and high blood pressure. Overdose can result in more severe symptoms such as seizures, coma, and even death.

MDMA Usage

MDMA is typically taken orally, in the form of a tablet or capsule, however it can also be snuffed or injected. The effects of MDMA can last for several hours, and users often take multiple doses in one night.

MDMA Medicinal Use

MDMA has shown potential as a therapeutic tool in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other psychiatric disorders. Clinical trials have shown that MDMA-assisted psychotherapy can help patients process traumatic memories and reduce symptoms of PTSD.

MDMA Combinations

While some users do it, MDMA should not be combined with other substances, especially stimulants such as cocaine or amphetamines. Combining MDMA with alcohol can also be dangerous, as both substances can cause dehydration and increase the risk of overdose.

MDMA Harm and Addiction Potential

MDMA can be harmful, especially when used in high doses or in combination with other substances. Long-term use of MDMA has been linked to a number of negative health effects, including memory loss, depression, and anxiety.

MDMA also has a high potential for addiction, and repeated use can lead to tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal symptoms.

MDMA Harm Reduction

It is highly recommended that MDMA users test their substance first to make sure they actually hava MDMA. This is because MDMA is prohibited and prohibition causes street drugs to become adulterated with other substances so dealers can make more profit. You can test your substance by taking a small sample to a drug testing provider like Know your stuff. You can also purchase your own MDMA and ecstacy test kits from our smartshop.

Before consuming MDMA you can pre-load one hour before with alpa-lipoic-acid, NAC, vitamin B6 and vitamin C.

Hydrate consciously to remain hydrated but avoid excessive drinking.

The next day after consuming MDMA you can take an after party pill like 5-HTP, after-e or happy tuesdays. These are best taken in the morning at least 1/2 hour before breakfast.

You can reduce harm and addiction potential by only dosing MDMA once per night and by limiting use to once a month.

Natural Alternatives to MDMA and After-E Pills

There are no real natural or legal alternatives to MDMA that produce similar effects. There are however herbs and supplements that may offer users some of the benefits of MDMA without the psychoactive effect. For example, herbs like guarana and calamus are safe, natural herbs for energy and stimuation, while kanna supports positive mood. Ecsplore is a dietary supplement formula that while not psychoactive like MDMA, it offers a safe legal option for energy and mood support for that big night. There are also natural supplements that may help reduce some the negative effects of MDMA, such as 5-HTP, antioxidants, vitamins and formulas like after-e and happy tuesdays. These supplements can be found in the after party colletion at any good smartshop.
