Tinctures | Ethnobotanical Liquid Extracts

A tincture is made by soaking any medicinal, therapeutic or psychoactive herb in alcohol or other food-grade solvent to produce a potent liquid extract. Indeed some of the first medicinal tinctures were Laudanum containing Opium and Green Dragon containing Cannabis. The perfect alternative for those of you not so keen on vaping or smoking, tinctures are partially absorbed via sublingual administration (under the tongue), resulting in much quicker onset of effects. For quick, potent effects a tincture is hard to beat. Tinctures can be dosed pure or added to water, juice or wine to make an elixir. For maximum effect, hold your dose under your tongue for 30+ seconds before swallowing.
