Ethnobotanical History: Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) has been used for centuries as a mood enhancer by South African first nation tribes. Kanna may elevate mood and decrease anxiety, stress and tension. In higher doses it may be very euphoric, initially with stimulation and later with relaxation.

Usage: Traditionally Kanna has been inhaled as a snuff, smoked, chewed or drunk as a tea. This crushed and fermented Kanna is perfect for shredding up for smoking or even better, use in a herbal aromatherapy vaporizer for a healthier buzz. It can also be used to make a tea or herbal tissane or chewed (with or without gum). If you want to make your own extractions this is the best Kanna to use as it is the least processed.
