Description: First Nation Tobacco (Lobelia inflata) is a species of Lobelia native to eastern North America, from southeastern Canada through the eastern United States to Alabama and west to Kansas.

Ethnobotanical History: First Nation Tobacco was traditionally smoked like tobacco and contains Lobeline, an alkaloid similar in action to nicotine. It may be useful as a cease smoking aid.

Active Constituents: Lobeline (alkaloid similar to nicotine).

Usage: Smoke like Tobacco, do not exceed one small cigarette at a time. (Try a puff or two first to test your reaction.) Lobelia is often added to herbs such as Mullein, Red Raspberry leaf, Red clover and Marshmallow to make a herbal smoking mix.
