An ingredient in Absinthe. Also added to Betel Nut packages. Claimed to relieve nervous tension and increase lifespan. Traditionally used to treat muscle aches and pains, digestive problems, nausea and hangovers.

Active Constituents: Essential oil containing estragole, anethole, apiole, limonene, chavicol, pinene, camphene, 10-nonacosanone and seselin.
